Relocating to Dublin Ohio

Relocating to Dublin OhioDublin is a city in Franklin, Delaware, and Union counties in the Columbus metro area. It's a suburb of Columbus and hosts yearly memorial tournaments at the Muirfield Village Golf Club. It also hosts the annual Dublin Irish Festival, recently changed to Dublin Irish Days, and is one of the largest three-day Irish festivals in the world.

Named after Dublin Ireland, the town was incorporated in 1881 but by 1970, it was still a relatively small town with a population of less than 700. But, after the construction of Interstate 270, Dublin experienced a population boom and was rapidly growing. It was officially declared its own city in 1987 with a population of 5000. By 2017, out of over 15,000 towns and neighborhoods in the US, Dublin has ranked the sixth-best place to live in the United States and in 2020, Dublin was ranked 12th best small city in America.

But don't take our word for it, here's what residents have to say about living in Dublin Ohio.

"Bridge Park area has a walking bridge in the shape of a wishbone that connects over the Scioto River to the old town of Dublin to the newer side. Many shops, eateries, and scenic views. There is a major attraction of a place called "Pins". Mechanical mini bowling lanes, Pinball, Beer and Wine, Sofas, Televisions, and more. A great Market Place to go to every Saturday morning for fresh produce and crafts made locally."

"I love Dublin, mostly because I love Columbus. Living in Dublin is great because it’s located right outside of my favorite city, yet it’s quiet, suburban and beautiful. I used to live right in the middle of downtown Columbus. There are many things about it that I miss, but I’m comforted by the fact that it’s only a short drive away. Some things I don’t miss are the construction, lack of parking, and my tiny, expensive apartment. In Dublin I have peace and quiet, a place for my car, and an apartment that’s twice as big for the same price. I do wish that Dublin had more to do, but it has its own charm and fun things to offer, like the Bridge Park area, which has great restaurants and night life." - Niche.com
